Stephen Xenakis, retired psychiatrist, advocate for integrated care for veterans, and expert on brain injuries, and Dr. Kristen Leslie, professor at Eden Theological Seminary and a national expert on military sexual trauma. A symposium organized to introduce participants to “moral injury” and the role religious communities can play in “soul repair.” The event is open to seminary students, pastors, chaplains, leaders of religious communities, service providers, Veterans and their families and friends.

Rev. Dr. Duane Kelderman Adjunct Professor at Calvin College Dr. Duane Kelderman is currently Interim Pastor of LaGrave Ave. Church and Adjunct Professor at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Kelderman has served for 25 years as a congregational pastor and ten years as Vice President for Administration and Professor of Preaching at Calvin Theological Seminary.
A graduate of Calvin College (1973) and Calvin Theological Seminary (1977), Dr. Kelderman earned the Doctor of Ministry degree from Denver Seminary (1990) where he studied communicational design with Dr. Haddon Robinson. He has over 30 publications including collaborative studies, grants, professional publications and popular articles and booklets.
