After serving for over three and one-half decades in parish ministries in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and one term as a Trustee of Brite, Tommy has begun a new chapter of ministry in the advancement of our divinity school.

Tommy earned his BA at TCU; his MTh (MDiv) from Perkins School of Theology at SMU; and his DMin is from Brite.

A native of Dallas, Tommy served congregations in his hometown and in Mesquite, Waco and Midland. Currently Dr. Potter serves on the board of the United Christian Missionary Society of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Tommy and his wife, Kathleen, have five children and five grandchildren.
